Basic Research

First, we decided to go on to you tube and search famous music videos in order to see what ideas we can gain from looking at conventions of real media. From there, we would start to be more specific. 
Micheal Jackson's Thriller video is one which is extremely famous. 
This video is strongly choreographed with an extensive use of make up and different outfits. 

                     

This video is on too much of a large scale for us. We have decided that we want a more simple video that we can relate to personally.

Shown below is another part of research we have looked into. This is an idea that was passed through our group. Having looked at previous years media, it looked like a fun idea. 

This idea, although a popular one for us was too difficult an idea to organise  Firstly, it would be extremely hard for us to get the same actors and actresses to come back for re-shoots. 

Next, we looked at a song that was a favourite of many of ours. Katy Perry's 'Thinking of you' is more depressing then the above songs. We really liked this; However, we want to make our video a little bit different. Therefore, we will look further to find a video in order to be more specific. 

Looking further into you tube, trying to find songs which have a different edge to them we came across P!NK. The video below shows a different kind of video, exploring a relationship between a mother and daughter instead of a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.

We have decided to talk as a group about our initial ideas and then, we will continue to do further research.
